Dedicated Web Hosting

There are many advantages in acquiring a dedicated web hosting plan. This type of service is ideal for customers requiring a higher degree of flexibility, security, reliability and a site that gives an enterprise-level performance. Although you’re actually “borrow” the hardware of the hosting company, you are equipped with great flexibility and control that allows you to customize your server based on your specific needs.

Thus, the fact that you do not have the server can really become a good thing, especially if your organization does not have the manpower to deal with the various maintenance tasks that must be performed daily.

Experience Factor

While some clients have the experience necessary to maintain a dedicated server, others have not. If you have a capable team, should be able to thrive very well in this more complex environment. For the more technically inclined user, manage an entire server usually no problems. For those who have no experience, or an experienced administrator available on a managed solution may be the best option for your dedicated server.

With a managed service, your dedicated server web hosting provider is responsible for maintenance and for ensuring that the server stays up and running. This often includes taking care of the operating system, web server, applications and the hardware itself. While a managed server is usually the cheapest route, managed hosting is often the best choice if you do not have the knowledge and experience to maintain the system.
